Paralyzed Man's House
Robbed At Gunpoint
STOCKTON (CBS13) ― Police are hunting four armed
men that ransacked and robbed the house of a paralyzed Stockton man. Home
security cameras showed the gun-wielding thieves gaining entry through a smashed
window, later showing them robbing and fleeing the premises.
The victim, who did not wish to be identified, is paralyzed from the neck down.
He told CBS13 that the men held him and his family at gunpoint as they tore
through the house, looking for valuables.
"I've been through some catastrophic things in my life," he said. "The only
thing I was worried about was my daughter. There isn't much more they could do
to me."
The thieves made off with $25,000 in cash, and have not yet been apprehended.
The victim said the ordeal lasted under five minutes, and it appeared the
suspects knew where to look.
"It's scary to think that I'm being stalked," he said.
The victim said he was planning on offering a reward for information on the men
responsible for the burglary.
