Free Meds and Solutions -
The mission at Free Meds and Solutions is to help you and your loved
ones access programs that will save or eliminate prescription medicine
costs. These programs are for everyone whether they are employed,
unemployed, underinsured, elderly, or disabled. Those who typically
obtain their medications free through these programs do not qualify for
government assistance such as Medicaid, but cannot afford costly
medications.

G.O.A.L.S. - Go Out and Live Successfully!
- G.O.A.L.S., Inc. (Go Out And Live Successfully!) is a foundation
dedicated to helping people with spinal cord injuries better access
their environment. Provides funds to meet a mobility-related need.

GiveTech.org - GiveTech does not
give away computers; rather they give away input devices that allow
people with quadriplegia to use computers.

interactive Web site designed to help you find patient assistance
programs for which you may qualify.

Income and Medical Benefits after SCI
- A Forum Report from the Univ of Washington NW Regional SCI
System that discussses various state and federal programs that offer
assistance to persons with disabilities.

On the Move: A Financial Guide for People with Spinal
Cord Injury - This book provides
financial guidance for people with spinal cord injury, covering such
topics as medical care and equipment, VA benefits, employment, hiring a

Prescription Assistance Programs:

Repair and Rehabilitation Grant
- A grant is available to dwelling owner/occupant who is 62 years
of age or older. Funds may only be used for repairs or improvements to
remove health and safety hazards, or to complete repairs to make the
dwelling accessible for household members with disabilities.

Special Needs Trust Administration Manual
- In clear and easy to understand language, the authors explain
how a trustee can use trust funds to meet the financial needs of a
person with disabilities and still comply with the complex rules of
government benefit programs. The Special Needs Trust Administration
Manual covers many topics, including what trustees need to know about
public benefit programs such as SSI, SSDI, Medicare, and Medicaid; taxes
and Special Needs Trusts; payment of recreation, transportation, and
medical costs; housing subsidies; and trustee duties.

designed specifically for individuals with disabilities interested in
business ownership and the organizations that serve them.

The Bryon
Riesch Paralysis Foundation -
Their goal is to find a cure for paralysis through funding the latest in
medical research and to provide assistance to those that suffer from
neurological disorders. A $1000 to $2000 scholarship shall be awarded to
two to three individuals with neurological disabilities, or the child of
that person, for post high school education.

The Foundation Center User Aid for Individuals with
Disabilities - If you are an

information on grants specifically for those with disabilities, this

The Lang Foundation - Established
in 1989, the nonprofit foundation is dedicated to improving the quality
of life of those suffering Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), by providing new PC
systems and adaptive peripherals to needy SCI individuals.
The Ray Tye Medical Aid Foundation
- The Ray Tye Medical Foundation is a 501c3 organization utilizing
100% of their funding to directly serve injured or ill individuals
nationally and internationally that have no other source for the
significant medical care that they need.

Travis Roy Foundation -
Their individual grant funds have been used to modify vans and to
purchase wheelchairs, computers, ramps, shower chairs, and other
adaptive equipment to help paraplegics and quadriplegics live their
lives.
