Paralinks Wheelchair Nation has been gathering valuable information on SCI for over eleven years. This site has been created and maintained by a quadriplegic and a paraplegic and is a grass roots not for profit site.

Gary Schooley a Paraplegic for over 30 years is the founder of Paralinks and has been providing the SCI community with a vast array of SCI information for 13 years. Silas S. Slade, a paralyzed veteran following a 1999 car accident that left him a C3/6 incomplete quadriplegic created Wheelchair Nation. Gary and Silas’s vision were the same; to provide a place to find informative resources of SCI information as well as to provide the SCI community a place to see disabled people in similar situations to interact and share experiences. Due to health issues with Gary Schooley, the lack of time & the need to spend more time on other projects, the moment had arrived for Gary to roll away and turn his position over to a younger more energetic person with a personal relationship with SCI and that was the beginning and combining of Paralinks Wheelchair Nation in 2007.

Paralinks Resources like Quad Connection, a page about Quadriplegics for Quadriplegics and Personal SCI Sites will give you an opportunity to visit other disabled people with a SCI and see what they are up to. All of our resources are full of helpful information whether your a family member, caregiver or a person with a SCI.
